Katy Perry Reflects On Tough Orlando Bloom Split, Calls Justin Trudeau ‘Love Of My Life’

Katy Perry has opened up about the difficult period surrounding her split from Orlando Bloom, recalling how she struggled emotionally while continuing to perform on her “Lifetimes Tour”.

The 41-year-old singer said last year was particularly challenging as she travelled for the tour, often feeling far from her friends and support system while dealing with the end of her relationship with Bloom.

“It was probably the hardest time,” Perry said, recalling how she would cry while her friends were back home. She said the people around her eventually rallied to support her and helped her through the difficult period.

Perry and Bloom, who share six-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, ended their relationship in 2025 after nearly nine years together.

Despite what she was experiencing privately, Perry continued performing and said the tour helped her reconnect with her sense of purpose.

Daisy also accompanied her mother on the road, giving her an opportunity to see Perry working and performing. The singer said it was important for her daughter to see her being strong, although she acknowledged that “not every day was easy”.

Looking back, Perry said the tour ultimately brought an unexpected personal reward: meeting Justin Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister.

“I learned how to step back into my purpose,” she said. “And I got the greatest gift from this tour: I got to meet the love of my life.”

Perry and Trudeau were first romantically linked in July 2025 after they were seen together in Montreal. Their relationship has since become increasingly public, with the pair making their red-carpet debut at the Tribeca Festival in June 2026.

Perry’s reflections come as her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live From Paris, arrives in cinemas and IMAX, giving fans a look back at the tour that unfolded during a major period of change in her personal life.
