Oborevwori, Diri, Ibori Attend Egukawhore Son’s Wedding

The wedding ceremonies of Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore and former Miss Stephanie Spencer attracted prominent political, business and traditional leaders to Lagos on September 3 and 5, 2026.

The ceremonies, which marked the union of Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore and Stephanie, now Mrs. Stephanie Egukawhore, brought together dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.

Among those who attended were Delta State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori; Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri; Ekiti State governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji; deputy governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Peter Pereotubo Akpe, and former Delta State governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

Also present was the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, alongside a representative of the Ondo State governor.

Serving and former legislators, commissioners, local government chairmen, political leaders, senior military officers, bank chairmen, chief executives, oil and gas executives, business leaders, family members and friends also attended the ceremonies.

Traditional rulers, royal fathers and chiefs, particularly from Delta, Bayelsa and Ekiti States, were also among the guests.

The celebrations featured cultural displays, music, dancing and other entertainment as guests joined the couple and their families to mark the occasion.

A major highlight of the celebration was the energetic dance display by the groom’s father, High Chief Dr. Emonena Wayles Egukawhore (JP), FCILG, the Chairman of Dewayles Group of Companies and a Niger Delta leader.

His performance drew cheers and applause from guests as he celebrated his son’s marriage.

The couple received prayers, congratulations and goodwill from guests throughout the ceremonies.

Speaking during the appreciation session, High Chief Egukawhore thanked the dignitaries, traditional rulers, business leaders, family members and friends who attended the celebrations.

He specifically appreciated Governors Oborevwori, Diri and Oyebanji, former Governor Ibori, Senator Lokpobiri and other dignitaries for honouring the family with their presence.

He also thanked guests who travelled from different parts of the country to attend the ceremonies, describing their presence as a demonstration of love and goodwill towards the family.

The celebrations ended with prayers for the couple and the safe return of guests who travelled to Lagos for the occasion.
