Adamawa Christian Board Screens 700 For Israel Pilgrimage

Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB) has screened about 700 intending pilgrims for the 2026 pilgrimage to Israel

Its executive secretary, Chief Geoffrey Garba, said the board had developed a comprehensive roadmap for the 2026 pilgrimage, adding that about 700 intending pilgrims were expected to participate.

According to him, the screening would be conducted in three phases, with 230 intending pilgrims scheduled to be screened daily between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

He urged intending pilgrims who were still holding on to their forms to complete and return them to the Board without delay.

Garba explained that the Board would compile and release the list of pilgrims according to their screening dates, the Board’s notice board, and the official platform created for intending pilgrims.

He appealed to the pilgrims to adhere strictly to their assigned screening dates and cooperate with officials, assuring them that everyone who had duly completed and submitted the required documents would be attended to.

Regarding the issuance of e-passports, the Executive Secretary said the process was 50 per cent complete.

He, however, called on the Nigeria Immigration Service to expedite the process and release the passports before next week’s screening exercise.

He further stated that the screening would cover health, physical fitness and security checks to ensure that all intending pilgrims were fit to embark on the pilgrimage.
