Madonna And Taylor Swift Dominate 2026 MTV VMAs

Madonna and Taylor Swift emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, with both stars collecting major honours during Sunday night’s ceremony in Los Angeles.

Madonna led the night with seven awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration for ‘Bring Your Love’ with Sabrina Carpenter, Best Dance, Best Album and Best Long Form Video.

The ceremony also marked Madonna’s return to the VMAs stage, with the singer performing at the awards for the first time in 23 years.

Taylor Swift Makes VMA History

Swift took home three awards, including the night’s top prize, Video of the Year, for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’.

She also received the inaugural Artist Director Honor, recognising her work behind the camera and contribution to visual storytelling through music videos.

Her latest wins took her career VMA tally to 33, making her the most-awarded artist in the history of the ceremony.

Swift also premiered the video for her new song ‘Patient Zero’ during the show and dedicated her Video of the Year award to the late country music star Dolly Parton.

LISA Wins Best Pop

K-pop star LISA was another notable winner, taking home Best Pop for ‘Dream’, featuring Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.

She also performed her new single ‘SaWaDiKa’ during the ceremony, incorporating a traditional Thai tuk-tuk into the performance.

The 2026 VMAs were hosted by Snoop Dogg at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, while Nirvana received the Video Vanguard Award.
