UNGA 81: Yobe SSG Meets VP Shettima On State’s Investment Mission

The Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG), Dr. Mohammed Goje, has met with Vice President Kashim Shettima on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) in New York.

A statement issued by the Media Coordinator/Liaison Office of the SSG, Ibrahim Baba SalehSaid the Dr Goje has while engaging with the Vice President, briefed him on Yobe State’s ongoing investment mission and engagements aimed at advancing the development agenda of Governor Mai Mala Buni.

The SSG highlighted the state government’s efforts to attract strategic investments, strengthen partnerships and explore opportunities capable of accelerating economic development and improving the well-being of the people of Yobe State.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Yobe delegation to update the Vice President on the state’s engagements at the global gathering aimed at promoting the development priorities of the administration of Governor Buni.

The Vice President who led Nigeria’s delegation in the meeting expressed his goodwill towards the government and people of Yobe State and conveyed his warm regards to the people of the state.

The engagement formed part of the Yobe State Government’s strategic engagements at UNGA 81, as the state seeks to leverage international platforms to advance its development and investment priorities.
