Troops Rescue 49 Kano Travellers From Kidnappers

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have reportedly rescued 49 travellers from Kano State following an attempted kidnap incident in Zamfara State. The travellers were returning from Senegal after attending a Maulud programme.

The rescue was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama yesterday.

According to the post, the travellers came under attack from suspected kidnappers after their vehicle reportedly developed a fault while they were travelling through the area.

The troops responded to the incident and rescued all 49 travellers from the suspected kidnappers,” the post revealed. The rescued travellers were later handed over to the Chairman of Tsafe Local Government Area, Malam Garba Shehu Fanchers, during the night for immediate welfare and medical assessment.

The local government authorities were expected to facilitate their safe return and reunification with their families after completing the necessary checks.
