The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has counseled the Nationwide Affiliation of Judges of Nigeria after its admission as a member of the Worldwide Affiliation of Judges (IAJ).
The affiliation was admitted through the 67th Annual Assembly of the IAJ held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Based on a press release by the CJN’s media aide, Mr Tobi Soniyi, Nigeria’s admission into the worldwide physique demonstrated worldwide recognition and confidence within the Nigerian judicial system
Justice Kekere-Ekun described it as a second of satisfaction and privilege for Nigeria to affix a worldwide group of judges dedicated to the rule of regulation, judicial independence, and the safety of human rights.
She mentioned, “Nigeria embraces this membership with humility, dedication, and a deep sense of duty
“We recognise the values that this affiliation upholds, and we’re decided to contribute actively to its mission.
“We’re dedicated to additional strengthening the independence of our judiciary, upholding the rule of regulation, and making certain the continued safety and promotion of human rights in our nation.”
