Well-liked Nigerian activist and founding father of Secure Metropolis Foundation, Harrison Gwamnishu, has responded to allegations that he diverted ransom funds meant for the discharge of kidnapped victims in Edo State.
The controversy started after Dr. Abdul Ganiyu Oseni, whose pregnant sister and her husband had been kidnapped, accused Gwamnishu on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, of taking a part of the cash raised by the household.
The abductors had launched the pregnant girl however stored her husband in captivity, prompting tensions and public scrutiny.

In a video posted on Fb, Gwamnishu strongly denied the allegations, saying no cash was stolen and no member of his group fled Edo State. He defined that the operation didn’t go as deliberate and that the abductors had already knowledgeable the household that solely the spouse could be launched.
