Bauchi NNPP Guber Candidate Prioritises Education, Health, Job Creation

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Bauchi State, Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed, has promised sweeping reforms in education, healthcare and youth empowerment if elected governor in the 2027 general elections.

Ahmed made the pledge over the weekend when he submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms at the NNPP State Secretariat in Bauchi amid cheers from party supporters and stakeholders.

Positioning himself as a candidate of “people-oriented leadership,” the NNPP flag bearer criticised previous administrations over what he described as the persistent irregular payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities in the state.

He assured civil servants and retirees that his administration would guarantee prompt payment of entitlements and introduce improved welfare packages aimed at restoring confidence in government.

Ahmed also unveiled plans to tackle youth unemployment through aggressive skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support schemes and job creation initiatives designed to curb poverty and social unrest.

“We must invest in our young people and provide them with opportunities to succeed. Empowering youths is critical to securing the future of Bauchi State,” he said.

Speaking at the event, the NNPP North-East Vice National Chairman, Bashir Yakubu Ahmad, said the party had produced credible candidates committed to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance.

Also addressing party faithful, the Bauchi State NNPP Chairman, Abdulkareem Salisu Matori, said the party had intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

He added that the party and its candidates remained committed to peaceful, issue-based campaigns focused on the development of the state.
