Enugu APC Holds Presidential Primary With Tinubu As Sole Aspirant

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State on Saturday conducted its presidential primary election with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole aspirant.

Party members across the state turned out in large numbers to participate in the exercise, which was held across wards in the state’s 260 electoral wards.

At the time of filing this report, the exercise was still ongoing at various ward levels, with official results yet to be announced.

A monitoring visit to several wards by our correspondent indicated that the process was largely peaceful, with party members conducting themselves in an orderly manner.

Some APC members who participated in the exercise described the process as smooth and transparent, noting that it reflected internal unity within the party.

A party member, Mr. Ignatius Uwakwe, who voted at his ward, said the exercise was peaceful and well organised.

At Ogui New Layout Ward 8, participants commended President Tinubu for ongoing reforms, expressing optimism that the policies would yield positive results in due course.

They also expressed confidence in the leadership of the APC and the direction of the federal government.

Meanwhile, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Enugu State, Uche Obute, described the exercise as fair, orderly, and peaceful across the state.

He commended party members for their conduct and participation in the ongoing primary process.
