Angelina Jolie’s Son Maddox, Reportedly Removes ‘Pitt’ From Name

Maddox Jolie-Pitt, the eldest son of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has reportedly removed “Pitt” from his surname. The move has renewed public attention on the family’s strained relationship since the former couple’s widely reported split.

Maddox Jolie has reportedly applied to legally change his surname to “Pitt” from his surname,” seeking to be known as ‘Maddox Chivan Jolie’.

The move follows a similar change in his professional identity. In the credits of Angelina Jolie’s film ‘Couture’, where he worked as an assistant director, he was listed as Maddox Jolie.

Maddox is not the only member of the family to distance themselves from the Pitt surname. Shiloh Jolie legally dropped it, while Zahara Jolie and Vivienne Jolie have also stopped using it in public settings.

The development comes years after the highly publicised separation of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Maddox’s request is yet to be approved by the court, but a decision is expected in due time.
