Sallah: Al-Ansar Children’s Home Distributes Palliatives To 200 Widows In Abuja

In the spirit of the Eid al-Adha celebration and to cushion the effects of the current economic hardship in the country, Al-Ansar Children’s Home has distributed Sallah palliatives to over 200 widows in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Home also organised a special Eid al-Adha celebration for orphans, vulnerable children and other members of the community, which also served to commemorate Children’s Day.

The event featured a variety of fun-filled games for the children, as well as spiritual talks aimed at promoting love, care and devotion to Allah.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Sa’adatu Umar, commended the gesture extended to widows by the Home and called on other philanthropists and corporate organisations to support its efforts in caring for orphans and other less privileged members of society.

Speaking at the event, the consultant to Al-Ansar Children’s Home, Ustaz Yunus Salahudeen, said the Home has consistently carried out humanitarian outreach programmes during festive periods by supporting widows, orphans and persons living with disabilities.

He expressed gratitude to the numerous donors who have continued to support the Home’s activities and assist the orphans and widows under its care.

Salahudeen also appealed to other philanthropists and corporate organisations to partner with the Home, assuring them that every child under its care would have access to quality education and proper upbringing.
