Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has gifted 300 Saudi Riyal, equivalent of N120,000 to each pilgrim from the state participating in the 2026 hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The governor made the announcement during the flag-off of the distribution of official travelling bags to the pilgrims ahead of their scheduled airlift to Nigeria from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Represented by his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed, the governor commended the pilgrims for their discipline, peaceful conduct, and exemplary representation of Bauchi State throughout the Hajj exercise.
Meanwhile, the wife of the governor, Aisha Bala Mohammed, through a personal project, also announced the donation of a prayer mat and a blanket to each of the pilgrims as part of efforts to support their comfort and spiritual activities during the concluding stage of the pilgrimage.
She urged the pilgrims to continue praying for peace, unity, and progress in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
