A statement issued by the Information Officer of the Ministry of Works, Abubakar Maikau said the contract signing ceremony held last week at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Works in Damaturu, where the Commissioner, Engr. Umar Wakili, signed the agreements on behalf of the state government.

The projects include the repair and asphalt overlay of the Kaliyari-Bayamari Road, awarded to Triacta Nigeria Limited; the reconstruction of the Tetteba-Gulani Road with a seven-kilometre spur to Garin Tuwo, awarded to Elegance Construction Nigeria Limited; and the completion of a seven-kilometre asphalt overlay on the Damagum-Gubana Road, awarded to EEC Nigeria Limited.

Responding on behalf of the contracting firms, Mr. Adamu Sallau of Elegance Construction Nigeria Limited commended Governor Buni and the Yobe State Government for the confidence reposed in the companies.
