The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru Kudan, has disclosed that he visited former Governor Nasir El-Rufai in Abuja.
Though, Ashiru did not state where he met the former governor and ADC leader in Kaduna state as he vowed to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
Ashiru had received the member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency and son of the former governor, Bello El-Rufai.
Taking to his verified facebook page on Tuesday after his meeting with the former governor, Ashiru described the discussion as productive, stressing that it strengthened the party’s resolve ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Ashiru maintained that the ADC in Kaduna was fully prepared to challenge the ruling APC administration, which he accused of failing to meet the expectations of the people.
According to Ashiru, “Today, I met with my brother Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai CON. Our conversation has only deepened our resolve. The ADC in Kaduna is not merely ready, we are fully ABLE to dislodge the incompetent APC-led administration that has failed the good people of our state.
Ashiru added, “Enough of the hardship, enough of the excuses. With unity, courage and the will of the people, we will rescue Kaduna and restore justice, development and dignity. Kaduna! 2027 is our year of redemption” he stated.
El-Rufai has been in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over alleged corrupt practices during his tenure as Kaduna state governor. The allegations El-Rufai had denied.
