Superman is a fallen angel – Pastor Emmanuel Iren

Pastor Emmanuel Iren has shared his interpretation of the fictional superhero Superman, arguing that the character reflects fallen angel imagery in popular culture.

Speaking during a sermon, the cleric noted that Superman’s Kryptonian name, Kal-El, ends with “El,” similar to biblical angelic names such as Michael and Gabriel.

He suggested that the character represents “a fallen angel” that people have come to admire through storytelling.

Drawing further comparisons between fiction and the Bible, Apostle Iren remarked that Moses could be likened to “a water bender,” while Elijah resembled “a fire bender,”

He said in part …

“Superman the superhero is a fallen angel. You don’t like Sango but you like Thor. What is the real name of superman? His real name is Kal El. Mention the names of angel that you know; Michael, Gabriel. See they all end with ‘El’. I hate to break it to you but he is actually a fallen angel. And angels in the Bible have superhuman strength. So someone thought about it that there is no way we can get this people to be fans of d£m0ns. So here is what we’re going to do, we’re going to whitewash the story with good story telling, and they will be cheering for it. All the benders we have them in the Bible. Moses was a water bender, Elijah a fire bender.”
