Peller Cries Out Over Fake Dollars Sprayed On Him During Wedding 

‎Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, known professionally as Peller, revealed that bank officials rejected nearly $30,000 in U.S. dollar bills sprayed on him during his traditional wedding ceremony.

‎‎The incident occurred following his star-studded wedding to fellow creator Elizabeth Amadou (Jarvis) on August 1, 2026, in Lekki, Lagos.

‎‎Speaking on a TikTok livestream, Peller explained that he went to his bank to deposit the cash gifts collected during the event. While local Naira currency was accepted and processed without issues, bank tellers flagged the foreign bills as counterfeit notes upon verification.

‎‎According to the streamer, the total value of the rejected counterfeit bills approached $30,000.

‎‎He said, “When I got to the bank, they told me the dollars were fake. People who gave me real money, I know them if I see them. They sprayed me fake dollars.

‎”‎I got home after my wedding thinking I was already a millionaire. I used the money to make a video, saying, ‘Hello, Hello,’ thinking I’m rich, but it was fake.

‎”‎You people didn’t notice that I didn’t talk about the dollars again. Is it by force to spray money at someone’s wedding…?”

‎The revelation generated significant online discussion regarding the growing trend of “stage money” or prop currency at high-profile social events in Nigeria.
