NYCN Commends FCC Commissioner Peter Eze For Empowering Enugu Youths

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Enugu State chapter, has commended the Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Peter Ogbonna Eze, for his contributions to youth empowerment and human capital development across the state.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Barth Ebuka Okoh, the NYCN praised Eze, popularly known as Eze Mbanabo, for creating employment and capacity-building opportunities for young people through his office at the FCC.

According to the Council, many youths from Enugu State have secured federal employment under Eze’s leadership, while others have benefited from overseas programmes, seminars, workshops, professional training, and other skills development initiatives designed to improve their competitiveness.

The Council described the interventions as life-changing, saying they have expanded opportunities for young people, inspired hope, and helped nurture a new generation of leaders capable of contributing to the development of Enugu State and Nigeria.

It noted that Enugu youths have, for the first time, benefited on such a significant scale through the office of the Federal Character Commission, describing Eze’s achievements as evidence of purposeful and people-centred leadership.

The NYCN also commended the Federal Commissioner for promoting fairness, transparency, and equal access to opportunities, adding that his approach has strengthened confidence among young people that merit, rather than political connections, can open doors to success.

“Hon. Peter Eze has given hope to countless young people by proving that one does not need a political godfather to access opportunities and excel. His accessibility, fairness, and unwavering commitment to empowering ordinary youths have earned him the admiration and gratitude of the people,” the statement said.

On behalf of the youth population of Enugu State, the Council expressed appreciation to Eze for what it described as his selfless service and commitment to youth development, while praying for God’s continued wisdom, strength, good health, and greater opportunities for him to serve the state and the nation.
