Housemates Martins and Mercedes have been evicted from the Big Brother Naija “Show Ya Sef” season during the live eviction show on Sunday,
The duo became the first contestants to be evicted from the 2026 edition after securing the lowest number of votes for the week.
Their departure follows a nomination process earlier in the week, during which housemates were required to save three fellow contestants. Although four housemates initially secured safety, Head of House Sheba used her veto power to save Chimsom Chuka, replacing him with Cassi. The move left 19 housemates up for public eviction.
The tenth season of the reality show premiered on July 26 with 24 contestants competing for a record grand prize of ₦160 million. In a recent twist, housemates Flora and Aikou were designated as “The Gambits,” allowing them to remain in the house until the finale without competing for the ultimate prize.
