Nollywood romantic comedy Call of My Life has won the Favourite Feature Narrative Audience Award at the 2026 BlackStar Film Festival in Philadelphia, United States.
The achievement was announced by Party Jollof TV in a social media post celebrating the film’s international recognition.
Directed by Dammy Twitch, the film was screened on August 7 as part of the festival’s official programme featuring works by Black and Indigenous filmmakers.
Call of My Life follows Soluchi, a call centre agent navigating heartbreak whose life takes an unexpected turn after a work-related phone call connects her with Eli, a man who catches her interest.
The film features Uzoamaka Power, Andrew Yaw Bunting, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Zubby Michael, Broda Shaggi and Justin UG.
Produced by Blessing Uzzi under Bluhouse Studios, the romantic comedy debuted in Nigerian cinemas on May 15.
