Fintiri Swears In 10 New Permanent Secretaries

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, yesterday swore in 10 new permanent secretaries, charging them to uphold integrity, professionalism and merit in the discharge of their duties.

The new permanent secretaries are Dr Bartholomew Nyalas, Ibrahim Bayaso, Halima Yakubu Umar, Joseph Taya, Ibrahim Abana, Thomas Emmanuel, Lucy Yakubu Zakka, Johnson Maxwell, Musa Babayi and Ibrahim Usman.

At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House, Yola yesterday, the governor, represented by his deputy, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta, said their appointments were based on competence, experience and hard work.

She urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by ensuring transparency, accountability and adherence to due process in their respective ministries, departments and agencies.

“You have to ensure that you have a duty to God and humanity as permanent secretaries in your respective offices. You have to take your duties without fear, favour and without nepotism.

“Adamawa is one big family, wherever you are coming from,” she said.

She also urged them to unite as a team to move the state forward in terms of development.

Speaking on behalf of the new permanent secretaries, Dr Nyalas Bartholomew thanked the governor for the opportunity and pledged their commitment to working as a team for the development of the state.
