Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, has resigned.
Agbebaku resigned following plots by the lawmakers to impeach him.
His resignation was confirmed by his media aide, Ivy Ebojele.
Ebojele said details of his resignation would be made public later.
