U.S. Based Nigerian Rapper MsJorji Accuses Poco Lee Of Sexual Assault

US-based Nigerian musician MsJorji has made fresh allegations against Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinala, popularly known as Poco Lee, accusing him of assaulting her and a female friend during a visit to his apartment in Dallas, Texas, United States, in 2024.

The ‘Wata’ crooner recounted her alleged encounter with the entertainer on her Instagram handle, following reports of Poco Lee’s rumoured arrest in the United Kingdom over an alleged sexual assault offence.

MsJorji alleged that Poco Lee assaulted her and her friend when they visited his Dallas residence.

According to the musician, Poco Lee and her friend were schoolmates in Nigeria and had a prior acquaintance. She said they decided to visit him after he invited them, as she was looking for professional advice while trying to establish herself in the music industry.

“In Dallas, Texas, two years ago. My girlfriend and I went to go meet him in Dallas. This is when I first started rapping, and I was trying to meet people in the industry.

“My girlfriend tells me he’s in Dallas; he invites us into his apartment. I’m so excited. Mind you, this is when I was married. So we get there; he went to school with my girlfriend in Nigeria, so they know each other; they’re familiar. We get there.

“So, and he sees my wedding ring; I’m wearing it. I tell him I’m married. Now, we play him a song; I’m trying to get advice from him of how to enter the industry,” the singer said.

MsJorji alleged that Poco Lee made unwanted advances towards her despite knowing she was married, saying she had to “slap his hand off” to stop him.

She added that the dancer subsequently attempted to assault her friend after trying to pull her into a room, prompting both women to fight back.

According to her, they eventually “beat and shoved him into the corner of the room” before leaving the apartment and driving back to their respective destinations.

MsJorji said the recent reports about the entertainer did not come as a surprise to her, alleging that sexual misconduct was common among some professionals in the entertainment industry, whom she described as “predators.”

The musician explained that she and her friend did not report the incident to the authorities at the time because they believed they lacked sufficient evidence.

“A lot of these industry men are predators. It don’t matter how much they have. And I’m telling this story now because at the time, we couldn’t go to the police because, well, we didn’t have enough to go to the police. We didn’t report him off, so there was no assault. It was attempted,” she said.

MsJorji also claimed that Poco Lee was “not the first predator” she had encountered in the entertainment industry, adding that he would not be the last.

She further alleged that she confronted him about the incident about two years ago at a Shallipopi and Seyi Vibez concert, where she said she put him in a “headlock” and warned him against repeating the alleged behaviour.

MsJorji said she regretted not having the courage to speak about the incident earlier, suggesting that doing so might have prevented the alleged ordeal of another woman.

Meanwhile, social media platforms have been abuzz following reports surrounding the alleged ordeal involving Poco Lee in the United Kingdom.
