Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face, has sparked reactions online after teasing his forthcoming album with a song he once dedicated to his former wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
In a recent social media post, the singer announced that his new project, titled Oldest Young Man, is underway.
“I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it. I’m still here. My new album, Oldest Young Man, soon to come,” he wrote.
However, it was his choice of background music that caught the attention of fans. 2Baba used “Rainbow”, a song he released for Annie, prompting some followers to speculate about the significance of his choice.
Some fans tagged Annie in the comments, while others described the song as emotional and reflective of the former couple’s history.
The album teaser comes as 2Baba continues to reflect publicly on his life and career.
At a recent performance, the singer praised veteran musician Daddy Showkey, revealing that he was the first person to give him $100.
2Baba also spoke about turning over a new leaf, saying he had previously been fond of getting into trouble but had learnt from his experiences and no longer wanted to seek out trouble.
The singer has also used previous public appearances to reflect on his journey, including an apology to Nigerians and his family during a concert last year.
