Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the 18-year-old daughter of Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has published a legal notice in a Los Angeles newspaper confirming her intent to drop “Pitt” from her last name.
Court documents from the Los Angeles County Superior Court confirm that the notice was published across four consecutive weeks in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, satisfying a formal legal requirement under California state law.
Vivienne initially filed the petition on July 21, listing “personal reasons” for requesting the official name change to “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.” A court hearing to finalise the petition is scheduled for November 2.
The move follows similar legal steps taken by her older siblings. Her sister Zahara and brother Maddox recently published similar notices to legally drop their father’s surname, with court hearings set for September. Additionally, their older sister Shiloh successfully completed the legal process to change her name to Shiloh Jolie.
