Lea Salonga is set to add another major milestone to her already celebrated career when she receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 4, 2026.
The Filipino singer and actress will become the first Filipina to receive the honour, with her recognition coming under the Live Theatre/Live Performance category of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Class of 2026.
Salonga has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning stage, film and music. Her breakthrough came with Miss Saigon, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, establishing her as one of Broadway’s leading performers.
Her work has also reached a global audience through Disney. Salonga provided the singing voices for Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in Mulan, including the beloved ballad “Reflection”.
She returned to the song earlier this year during the D23 Celebration Concert in California, revisiting one of the performances that helped cement her place in popular culture.
