Wike To Publish Projects Inherited From Past Administrations

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has announced plans to publish details of projects inherited from previous administrations, as well as projects awarded by the Tinubu administration.

Wike stated this on Saturday after inspecting the two major road projects in the FCT, expressing satisfaction with the pace and quality of work by the contractors.

He said the documents would cover projects inherited from the administrations of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua/Goodluck Jonathan years and the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

According to him, the publication would enable Nigerians to compare projects inherited and completed with those initiated by the current administration.

“We are going to publish the projects that we inherited from the government of Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007. We’re also going to publish one of Yar’Adua and Jonathan, and we’ll also publish one of Muhammadu Buhari.

“Then, when we publish those ones we inherited and were completed, we will also publish projects awarded by this present administration so Nigerians will see for themselves,” he said.

Wike challenged anyone who disputed the figures or projects to come forward with evidence.

“Anybody who says this is wrong, come out and say, ‘No, no project like that.’ So, Tuesday or Wednesday, the whole world will see what we have done,” he added.
