Eid-el-Maulud: First Lady Preaches Peace, Compassion, Forgiveness

First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Muslim faithful across the country to embrace peace, compassion and forgiveness as they commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.

In a message marking the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), the First Lady urged Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life and enduring virtues of the Prophet.

She encouraged the faithful to emulate the Prophet’s virtues of compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of promoting these values in their homes, communities and across the nation.

“As we commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026, I extend my warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria,” she said.

According to her, the celebration provides an opportunity for Nigerians to strengthen the bonds of unity and foster a culture of peace and mutual understanding.

She also prayed that the celebration would bring renewed hope, peace and blessings to Nigerians.

“May this celebration strengthen the bonds of unity among us and bring renewed hope, peace, and blessings to all Nigerians,” the First Lady said.

She wished Muslim faithful across the country a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
