Win With Tinubu Team To Meet Ododo Over 2027 Mobilisation

Senator Sunday Karimi has disclosed that the management of the Win With Tinubu project will soon meet with Kogi State governor and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Karimi, who current represent Kogi West, gave insight into the initiative, during an enlarged stakeholders engagement in Lokoja on Monday, saying the Win With Tinubu was designed to support Governor Ododo in delivering Kogi State to President Tinubu across the three senatorial districts.

According to him, the project is targeting all 239 wards in the state, comprising 97 wards in Kogi East, 85 in Kogi West and 57 in Kogi Central.

He, however, said the initiative goes beyond electoral figures, explaining that its major objective was to take the achievements of the Tinubu administration, as well as the programmes and activities of other APC candidates, directly to the grassroots.

Karimi said this would enable the people to better understand the achievements of the government and make informed decisions ahead of the election.

The senator also clarified that the planned meeting with Governor Ododo was necessary to formally brief him on the activities of the project and prevent any misconception about its purpose.

He said the team would meet the governor, who is the state APC leader, “for him to know officially what we are doing.”

Karimi added that the engagement was also important “for everyone to also know that we are not in conflict with the party and not see us as coup plotters.”

He stressed that the initiative was not intended to create a parallel political structure within the APC, but was focused on grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement.

“It is about mobilisation. It is about the grassroots,” he said.

The proposed meeting with Governor Ododo is therefore expected to formally bring the initiative to the attention of the state party leadership and clarify its activities and objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, the bursary initiative being implemented in collaboration with Win With Tinubu is one of the interventions through which the project is seeking to combine its political mobilisation with tangible grassroots engagement.

With activities planned across Kogi East, West and Central, the project is setting its sights on all 239 wards in the state, with the ultimate objective of mobilising support for President Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
