The National Progressive Serving Councillors Forum (NPSCF) has congratulated the former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, and the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on their appointments to key leadership roles within the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the national chairman of the NPSCF, Hon. Muslihu Yusuf Ali, the forum expressed confidence in both leaders following Senator Yari’s appointment as Director-General of the campaign council by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Dr. Ganduje’s appointment as Director of Stakeholder Mobilisation.
“These appointments are a clear testament to the trust, capacity, political sagacity, and grassroots reach of these two revered leaders of our party,” Ali stated.
The forum highlighted Yari’s record as a political mobiliser to coordinate campaign operations nationwide, while noting that Ganduje’s background in party administration and stakeholder engagement makes him suited to galvanise support across key political blocs.
As an association representing serving local government councillors across the country, the NPSCF noted the campaign council’s emphasis on local structures to drive grassroots voter outreach ahead of the election.
The forum pledged to deploy its network across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas to assist with voter education, registration drives, Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) collection, and voter turnout initiatives under the direction of the new campaign leadership.
