Eid-el-Maulud: Zamfara First Lady Urges Muslims To Promote Peace, Compassion

The Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal, has urged Muslims in the state and across Nigeria to promote peace, compassion and harmonious coexistence as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.

In a goodwill message signed by her Press Secretary, Rabi Yusuf, the First Lady called on Muslims to reflect on the life, character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, urging them to apply his virtues in their daily lives.

She described the Prophet’s life as a “radiant, timeless beacon of kindness, patience and compassion” and encouraged the faithful to uphold forgiveness, humility and peaceful coexistence in their families and communities.

“The life of Prophet Muhammad remains a radiant beacon of kindness, patience and compassion. I urge everyone to mirror these exceptional qualities within their families and wider communities, continually choosing peace and mutual understanding above all else,” she said.

Hajiya Hurriya also urged the people of Zamfara to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and extend support to vulnerable and less privileged members of society.

She said the celebration should provide an opportunity for spiritual renewal and collective progress in the state.

“Let us utilise this auspicious season to actively strengthen the sacred bonds of brotherhood, demonstrate sincere kindness toward one another and extend generous support to the vulnerable and less privileged among us,” she stated.

The First Lady expressed hope that the celebration would renew Nigerians’ commitment to national unity, religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

She prayed for divine mercy, guidance and blessings for families in Zamfara and across the country, while wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

She also prayed for sustained peace, lasting stability and greater prosperity in Zamfara State and Nigeria.
