Contestants representing South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, and Eritrea have emerged as the top five continental finalists for the Miss World 2026 Head-to-Head Challenge following a competitive presentation round.
Following presentations evaluated on eloquence, intellect, and community advocacy, Romanda Hombir of South Africa secured the overall continental victory. The win earns her a direct fast-track placement into the official Miss World Top 40 final lineup.
The five African finalists and their respective “Beauty with a Purpose” humanitarian projects are:
South Africa – Romanda Hombir (Continental Winner): A clinical audiologist who advocates for healthcare accessibility and assistive resources for individuals living with hearing loss through her Caring Purpose Foundation.

Nigeria – Tamunosoye “Soye” Karibi-George: Presented her initiative, Beyond Labels, which champions inclusion, dignity, and specialized empowerment for children living with special needs.

Kenya – Trizah Muhenje Akala: Spearheaded a relief and advocacy program providing essential supplies, care, and basic amenities for infants living with incarcerated mothers in prison facilities.

Zambia – Dr. Adah Mushibi: Focused her campaign on public health outreach, healthcare accessibility, and community wellness.

Eritrea – Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin: Dedicated her platform to youth leadership development, digital media outreach, and empowering young people across communities.

Delegates from across the globe have arrived in Vietnam for pre-pageant activities ahead of the Miss World 2026 grand finale scheduled for September 5 in Nha Trang.
Global public voting has officially opened for the People’s Choice challenge, allowing fans to support their preferred contestants through the official Miss World online platform. Voting for the first round will remain open until September 4, with the highest-voted delegate from each region securing direct entry into the Top 40 quarterfinalists.
