The APC Intellectual Door-to-Door Awareness and Mobilisation Forum (IDAF) has endorsed the re-election bid of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for a second term in office.
The forum made its position known during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya.
Speaking during the visit, the chairman of IDAF, Comrade Salisu Alhassan Dantata, expressed the forum’s support for the administration of Governor Yusuf and its commitment to advancing the government’s Kano First agenda.
According to a statement issued by the Commissioner’s Special Assistant on Digital Media, Said Adam Muhammad, Dantata said the forum would take its awareness and mobilisation campaign to communities across the state as part of efforts to enlighten citizens on the policies, programmes and achievements of the state government.
He said the forum was prepared to engage people at the grassroots and contribute to strengthening public understanding of government initiatives and mobilising support for its development agenda.
Dantata also announced the appointment of Waiya as grand patron of the forum.
Responding, Waiya commended the leadership and members of IDAF for their initiative and commitment to grassroots mobilisation.
The commissioner assured the forum of the state government’s readiness to collaborate with it in promoting public awareness and strengthening engagement with citizens across the state.
He stressed the importance of collaboration, constructive communication and grassroots mobilisation in advancing the government’s objectives and building support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Waiya said effective communication between government and citizens remained essential to ensuring that people understood policies and programmes designed to improve their welfare.
The meeting also focused on strengthening grassroots engagement and increasing awareness of government policies and programmes.
