Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma have neutralised two terrorists and recovered weapons and motorcycles during an encounter in Rabah local government area of Sokoto State.

The operation was conducted in the early hours of Thursday following credible intelligence on the movement of terrorists conveying hundreds of rustled cattle through the Maikujera general area of Rabah LGA.

This is contained in a statement signed by the media information Ooficer, Joint Task Force (North West) Operation Fansan Yamma, Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja.

According to the statement, troops of Sector 2 moved swiftly to intercept the terrorists.

“While advancing towards the identified area, the troops encountered an ambush staged by the terrorists.
