Armed gunmen have attacked Rantan community in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, killing two people and abducting a woman.
The village head of Rantan, Alhaji Muhammad Adamu, confirmed the incident, saying the assailants invaded the community last night.
According to him, the gunmen killed two residents during the attack and subsequently abducted the wife of one of the victims.
LEADERSHIP reports the attack came barely 24 hours after gunmen stormed Chiromawa community, located near Rantan, killing three people and injuring several others.
The Kano State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the attack as of the time of filing this report.
