Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML has recounted how a seemingly simple Instagram Story featuring him with a cigarette left his family worried and sparked an emotional reaction in their WhatsApp group.

The singer revealed that his mother was particularly distressed after seeing the social media post, apparently believing that he had taken up smoking.

Fireboy DML explained that the cigarette was part of a showbiz moment and was not initially intended to suggest that he had become a smoker.

Fireboy DML further admitted, “I later smoked it sha, I can’t lie.”
