Seyi Tinubu Hails Made-in-Nigeria APC Sneakers, FACE Cap

Patron of the City Boy Movement, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, has commended the creativity and entrepreneurial initiative of an All Progressives Congress (APC) youth, Hon. Bello Ihiovi, for producing customised APC-branded sneakers and a matching face cap using Nigerian craftsmanship.

Ihiovi, a young entrepreneur and APC supporter, presented the specially designed footwear and face cap to Seyi Tinubu during a visit to the City Boy office in Abuja.

The products, which incorporate locally woven Aso Oke fabric, combine political identity with indigenous craftsmanship and offer a new dimension to political branding.

Speaking on the initiative, Seyi Tinubu reportedly described the concept as innovative, noting that it could encourage young Nigerians to turn their creativity and skills into viable businesses.

The project also creates opportunities for Nigerian designers, weavers, tailors, shoemakers and other artisans to participate in the production value chain.

The customised sneakers and matching face cap are designed to reflect political identity while promoting Nigeria’s cultural heritage and locally produced goods.

The initiative comes amid renewed efforts to promote youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation and skills development in the country.

The Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Wisdom Olawande, has also consistently advocated programmes aimed at positioning Nigerian youths as active participants in the nation’s economic development.

For Ihiovi, the project goes beyond political merchandise, as it seeks to demonstrate how creativity and indigenous skills can be transformed into enterprises capable of generating employment and supporting local businesses.

The presentation further highlights the potential of Made-in-Nigeria products to compete in contemporary markets when creativity, craftsmanship and adequate support are brought together.

As political organisations increasingly seek innovative ways of engaging young people, the APC-branded sneakers and face cap demonstrate how culture, fashion and enterprise can be combined to promote indigenous production.

The initiative therefore underscores the entrepreneurial possibilities available to Nigerian youths and the need for greater patronage and support for locally made products.
