Veteran Nollywood actor Adewale Elesho has successfully undergone surgery for a facial lesion, the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has confirmed.
Public concern regarding the actor’s facial injury arose during the funeral rites of the late Taiwo ‘Ogogo’ Hassan, prompting suggestions that he seek medical attention.
Elesho had previously dismissed rumors that the condition was cancerous, explaining that the lesion enlarged only because he initially delayed seeking appropriate medical treatment.
Confirming the development in a statement, ANTP National Publicity Secretary Adejonwo Oluwafemi Femson stated that the operation was successful and that the veteran actor is currently recovering well.
