Adamawa Begins Data Capture For 5,000 Newly Recruited Teachers

The Adamawa State Government has announced the commencement of data capture for the 5,000 teachers recently recruited into the state civil service.

In a public notice issued by the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, the government said the exercise will begin on September 3 and run until September 16, 2026, with successful candidates scheduled according to their respective local government areas and zones.

According to the notice signed by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Umar Garba Pella, the exercise follows the successful completion of the recruitment of the 5,000 teachers into the Adamawa State Civil Service through the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB).

The exercise will commence with candidates from the Mubi Zone on September 3 and 4, covering Madagali, Michika, Mubi South, Mubi North and Maiha LGAs.

Candidates from the Gombi Zone, comprising Hong, Gombi, Song and Girei, are scheduled for September 7 and 8, while those from the Ganye Zone, covering Toungo, Ganye, Jada and Mayo-Belwa, will undergo the exercise on September 9 and 10.

The Numan Zone, comprising Guyuk, Shelleng, Lamurde, Numan and Demsa, is scheduled for September 11 and 14, while the exercise will conclude with the Yola Zone, covering Fufore, Yola South and Yola North, on September 15 and 16.

All candidates are expected to report at the General Murtala Mohammed College (GMMC), Yola, with the exercise beginning at 9 a.m. daily.

The ministry directed successful candidates to come along with their notification of appointment, appointment letter, clearance letter from their principals, first posting letter, originals and photocopies of their credentials, as well as their National Identification Number (NIN).

The exercise is expected to complete the documentation process for the newly recruited teachers as they formally take up their duties across public schools in the state.
