Katsina State labour unions have begun talks with health and medical associations in a bid to resolve issues surrounding an impending strike in the state.
The development has raised concerns among workers and stakeholders in the health sector, as labour representatives meet with affected health workers to find a resolution.
The state government, however, declined to comment on the matter when contacted.
The leader of the negotiations, Comrade Nasiru Wada, also declined to speak to the press, saying he would not make any statement until an agreement is reached.
