2027: No New Roads, Buildings Until Existing Ones Are Fixed — Peter Obi

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has said his administration will not embark on the construction of new buildings or roads until existing infrastructure across the country is repaired.

Obi made this known on Thursday during an exclusive interview with Arise Television.

He said if elected president in the January 16, 2027 presidential election, his administration would prioritise the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure rather than embarking on new projects.

According to him, there would also be no construction of new guest houses or extension buildings for the President, the First Lady or other government officials.

Obi said, “So, you’re not going to see the building of new guest houses, the building of anything. In fact, no new building. No new building.

“We’ll fix the existing roads before building new ones.

“We’re not going to start building new extensions for the president or for the wife or for anybody. We will fix what is existing.”
