Again, Motorists, Commuters Stranded Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Amidst Ongoing Repair Work

Again, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is currently extremely heavy traffic with motorists and commuters stranded amidst the ongoing traffic being caused by ongoing repair works at Kara Bridge.

The heavy traffic which has spread from Kara Bridge to secretarial bus stop was caused by heavy articulated vehicle which collided with the barricade put in place by the construction firm.

The serious traffic gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway today, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, is primarily caused by ongoing the trailer that hit the barricade and blocked the lanes.

Efforts to get in touch with officers of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), especially as their heavy toying vehicle was parked opposite the scene of the incident proved abortive as their number did not go through.
