2027: APC Group Kick-start Nationwide Mobilisation For Tinubu

A pro All Progressive Congress (APC), political support group, Yari 4 Tinubu-Shettima 2027, has commenced nationwide grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Saturday, the group said the mobilisation programme will cover states across the six geopolitical zones.

The group said its activities would extend across all 774 local government areas, with its stated objective of building grassroots support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections

The national coordinator of the group, Dr. Francis Chidozie Okoye said the initiative would be used to communicate the administration’s policies and achievements to voters at the grassroots.

He said the first phase of its zonal mobilisation would begin in the South-East on October 9, 2026, with a flag-off at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.

It listed Kaduna, Ondo, Benue, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom, Yobe and the Federal Capital Territory as other locations where it plans to hold mobilisation activities.

According to the group, the campaign will involve establishing support structures down to polling-unit level as part of its strategy for the 2027 elections.

It also announced an initiative tagged “Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit,” which it said would involve door-to-door and community-level engagements with voters.

The group also expressed support for the appointment of former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as director-general of the ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, describing him as capable of coordinating the party’s campaign ahead of the election.

Recall that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi had said the appointment of Senator Yari, as director-general of the Tinubu/Shettima 2027 Presidential Campaign Council will strengthen the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.

It commended the Tinubu administration over its economic and infrastructure policies and highlighted the activities of several members of the Federal Executive Council, including the ministers of Works, Interior, Finance, Foreign Affairs, FCT, Solid Minerals Development, and Industry, Trade and Investment.

The group urged Nigerians who support the administration to join its mobilisation efforts.

The 2027 general elections are scheduled to take place next year, with political parties and support groups expected to intensify grassroots activities as the electoral cycle progresses.
