The first wife of slain Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria lecturer and researcher, Dr Iliyasu Abubakar Sadiq, has said she is still struggling to come to terms with her husband’s death.
The widow, popularly known as Maman Safiyyah, told LEADERSHIP in an interview that she remained in shock over the incident.
“I am still in shock over my husband’s death. I can’t talk,” she said.
Maman Safiyyah also disclosed that the deceased’s second wife was equally in shock and had been unable to come to terms with the news of his death.
Sadiq, a lecturer and researcher with the Division of Agricultural Colleges, ABU, Zaria, was reportedly abducted from his farmhouse at Tudun Muntsira, a community behind the university’s Samaru Campus.
The widow declined to speak further, saying she was still trying to come to terms with the loss.
The incident has left the deceased’s family mourning the loss of the university lecturer and researcher.
