Family members, Nollywood colleagues, and prominent government officials gathered at This Present House in Lekki, Lagos, on Friday, October 2, 2026, for the funeral mass of late veteran actor Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs.
The iconic actor passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84.
The service was attended by his widow, veteran actress Joke Silva, alongside their sons Olusoji and Olugbenga Jacobs, all dressed in blue attire.
Among the dignitaries present to pay their final respects were Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and his wife, Chief Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat; Lagos State First Lady Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; former Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun; and former Ekiti State First Lady Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi.
Following the church service, guests were asked to wear shades of green for the remaining proceedings, with a private interment scheduled to follow immediately after the funeral mass.
