Nigerian Actor Julius Agwu Reveals Loss Of Sexual Function After Brain Surgery

Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has revealed that he lost sexual function following brain surgery he underwent in the United States in 2015.

Agwu made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show, where he spoke about the impact of the surgery on his health, career and personal life.

During the programme, the host asked whether his brain condition or the surgery had affected other parts of his body, including his sexual function.

Responding, Agwu said, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Other guests on the programme, including Mr Patrick, subsequently discussed the connection between nerves involved in the procedure and the brain, appearing to link Agwu’s reported experience to nerve damage from the surgery.

However, the discussion did not establish a medical diagnosis or confirm that the surgery was the cause of the reported sexual dysfunction.

Recall that Agwu underwent surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumours in his brain, with one said to be about the size of a golf ball.

The comedian has previously spoken publicly about his health challenges and how his condition and subsequent treatment affected his life and career.

Towards the end of the Beer Parlour Talk Show episode, Agwu reflected on his career and some of the personal challenges he experienced during his health battle.

Speaking about his contribution to Nigerian comedy, particularly the combination of music and comedy, he said, “Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work.”

Agwu subsequently broke down in tears while recounting his career and expressing his feelings about people he said had abandoned him during his difficult period.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happens to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he said.

Agwu remains a prominent Nigerian comedian and actor, having built a career around stand-up comedy, music comedy and acting in Nollywood.
