Tinubu Returns To Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Lagos for Abuja this evening after a six-day stay in the nation’s former seat of government.

The President arrived in Lagos on Tuesday, 29 September, after concluding his annual vacation in London and Paris.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement sighted by LEADERSHIP via X.

During his stay, Tinubu addressed Nigerians on 1 October as part of activities marking the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Later that day, he attended the national premiere of MKO, a documentary on the life, political struggle and legacy of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola and the historic 12 June pro-democracy struggle.

The premiere was held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos.

On Sunday, the President also paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, at the monarch’s Iga Iduganran Palace on Lagos Island.

Tinubu is expected to arrive in Abuja later on Monday.
