Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and a civilian abducted in Imo State have been rescued during an intelligence-led operation by security agencies.
LEADERSHIP earlier reported that the victims were reportedly abducted while travelling through the state.
This, however, prompted a coordinated search involving the military, Department of State Services (DSS), police and other security agencies.
Security sources said the rescued victims are receiving medical attention at a DSS facility.
Authorities are continuing investigations into the incident, while efforts to apprehend other suspects remain ongoing.
