Abejide Declares N500m Youth Empowerment Plan In Yagba, Backs Tinubu, Ododo

 

The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Elder Leke Abejide, has announced a N500 million youth empowerment programme for the constituency.

Abejide made the announcement at a homecoming event held at the Itodo Open Field in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State. He said the plan is intended to support youths across the 74 communities in the federal constituency to start and expand small-scale businesses.

According to him, the initiative aims to promote self-reliance and job creation at the community level. Details of the disbursement process, eligibility criteria and timeline were not provided at the event.

At the same event, Abejide declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying their administrations have introduced policies focused on development and welfare.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Arike Ayoade, who was present, said the lawmaker had previously supported widows and students in the constituency.

The Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Hon. Tosin Olokun, also spoke at the event.

Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, in an interview with journalists, urged youths in the area to participate in the political process.

The event was attended by political leaders, traditional rulers and residents from across Yagba Federal Constituency.
