Lere Olayinka, an aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reacted to a viral video featuring Peter Akah, popularly known as Peter for Nigeria, and Precious Oruche, also known as Mama Pee, popular supporters of Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Olayinka took to his X account on Sunday to comment on the video, in which the two supporters of Obi were seen dancing and making statements about the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the police and President Bola Tinubu.
In the video, the duo were heard saying, “INEC must obey Jesus Christ,” “Police must obey Jesus Christ,” and “Tinubu must obey Jesus Christ” as they danced.
Reacting to the footage, Olayinka suggested that the activities of the two individuals represented the kind of campaign being conducted in support of Obi’s presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He wrote, “Randy Peter + Mama Pee + 6/6 Bed = ???
“Na like that dem dey campaign for Pitobi inside bedroom 😂😂😂
“Happy Sunday to all supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Others can go and collect their own Happy Sunday from that MAD MAN of Upper Iweka Road and the Ubima client of Psychiatric Doctor.
“Hissssssssssssh.”
The video has generated reactions online, with some social media users questioning the characters in Obi’s campaign for the presidency in 2027.
Some critics have argued that the former Anambra State governor has lost prominent voices who could strengthen his political movement, while content creators and social media personalities increasingly dominate discussions around his political ambition.
Meanwhile, in July, Peter Akah and Mama Pee were questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations relating to the abuse of the naira.
Their lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, disclosed at the time that the commission had invited the two activists for questioning over materials allegedly connected to the use of naira notes.
According to Effiong, the EFCC initially asked his clients to appear before the commission on July 6, 2026, through separate invitation letters dated June 24. However, the meeting was rescheduled to July 15 after their legal team informed the agency that the two activists would not be available on the original date.
The lawyer said he accompanied Akah and Oruche to the EFCC headquarters on Wednesday, where they met with investigators and answered questions relating to the allegations.
He explained that the activists cooperated with the investigators and were subsequently released, adding that they would return for further interactions as the investigation continued.
Effiong also clarified that the money featured in the material under investigation was not genuine Nigerian currency but prop money used for entertainment.
“Our clients clarified that what was referenced were Props money for entertainment and not Naira notes,” he said.
The lawyer further commended the conduct of the EFCC officials during the questioning, stating, “During the interrogation on Wednesday, which took considerable time, the Commission acted professionally.”
He also sought to reassure members of the public who had expressed concerns about the activists’ safety following their invitation by the anti-graft agency.
“Our clients are in high spirits and they appreciate the concerns expressed by spirited Nigerians regarding their safety,” Effiong said.
